Bible Storying Through Film

Steppe-by-Steppe

Steppe-by-Steppe (SBS) is the field ministry of Eagle Television, using character-driven Bible-centered movies to conduct evangelism and discipleship through Bible storying. SBS teams travel the countryside of Mongolia and northern China showing Bible movies and presenting evangelistic Bible studies to lead Mongolians to Christ, establish new cell churches, and raise the level of discipleship among pre-existing pastors and churches.

SBS presentations have reached more than 70,000 Mongolians since 2006.

Your gift of $612 will sponsor all of our teams in the field at multiple locations for a day to share the Gospel and training countryside Christians in their faith.

Here are a few testimonies from Mongolians whose lives have been touched and changed through Steppe-by-Steppe.

“I’m Nyamkhand. I'm 71. Last July I received Jesus Christ in my life. Sometimes, I really do not understand the ideas in the Bible when I read it. But by watching Bible history movies I got a clear understanding. It was interesting and great to watch movies about Abraham and Adam. Through the Bible class, I learned about obedience and how to follow Jesus.”

“My name is Sugarmaa. Even though I was studying the Bible I did not have concrete understanding. As I watched the movies I realized that how God created all things and He let us understand [Him]. I also learned about obedience and sacrifice. The Bible studies helped me to grow in my knowledge about Christianity and Christian life.”

“I'm Badamsambuu. I'm 33. I've watched Genesis, Abraham, and Jacob. Those movies helped me to understand my Bible better. I read my Bible quite often but I couldn't understand clearly [until] now. I am very glad that I got a deeper understanding about the Bible. These kinds of movies can help us to realize who God is.”

A Daughter: “My name is Jugderkhorloo. As I watched all these movies, there is very special change in my life. I watched movies about Joseph and Moses. My father, who was not Christian, watched all these movies and then he threw all of his idols that he worshiped. These idols were an inheritance from his family. The movie about Moses is very important for new Christians to follow God faithfully to end. As a new Christian, I thought about going back [He means: going back to idols]. But now I learned that following Christ faithfully to the end is important.”

Her Father: “I kept all idols that I worshiped before and did not throw them away. Yesterday I watched the Abraham movie and I realized that there is no other gods except Him and all these idols are useless now. So I threw away all those idols! As I watched the movie about Joseph I learned how to forgive and treat others. I think these movies are very understandable and they touched my heart.”
